Here are some of the most common tasks:
A patrolling security guard works with preventive security. You will be driving and visiting customers in your district/area to check that alarms are activated, windows and doors are closed and locked, electrical equipment is turned off, and that no unauthorized persons are present on the property/area. Supervisory monitoring is performed both indoors and outdoors, mostly at night, alone, and you will work in shifts. The work is independent and mobile.

In stationary monitoring, you work at the customer's site. This can involve everything from reception work to patrolling and staffing security centers.

The customer gives us a great deal of trust, and your work as a security guard is important. You contribute every shift to creating safety and security for the customer and society at large, as your work provides preventive protection against crime, improved fire safety, and much more. You will meet all residents of the community, and it is important that you are clear, calm, and can make thoughtful decisions.

Qualifications

In addition to the personal qualities we seek and describe in the various assignments, you need to meet the following basic requirements to qualify for the position:

• High school diploma (with passing grades in Swedish and English)
• Good Swedish in speech and writing
• Driving license B

You also need to be unpunished*, drug-free, have a stable economy, and possess good health and physical fitness to be employed by Avarn Security.

Basic security training is an advantage but not a requirement for the position. If you have the right profile for Avarn and proceed in the process but do not already have the required training (VU1 and/or VU2), we will cover your training! Basic security training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted by BYA, the Security Industry's Occupational and Work Environment Board. Participation in this is a prerequisite for employment if you lack prior training.

Other advantageous qualifications include experience in the security industry, some technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments.
